Ken Brubaker
This is coach B, the founder of 313 Lacrosse. I became involved with coaching lacrosse over a decade ago in Michigan. I founded GP Select in 2005. The 313 Lax Club and First Line Academy came shorty after. Coaching and instructing lacrosse is my passion.
My ultimate goal is to provide lacrosse players a competitive and positive lacrosse experience. I have experienced the "next level" and will work tirelessly to bring it to my programs. I am a full time mentor of the modern game and developing players. It's my passion.
My programs give our young men several platforms to improve their skill levels. Our travel teams are showcased in front of national college lacrosse coaches. Whenever possible, I will make sure recruiters from all levels attend our events to see our players. My collegiate coaches contact list is extensive and growing daily. I take great pride in the fact that multiple players from my programs have gone on to play college lacrosse, many at the NCAA DI, II and III levels.
I have dedicated hundreds of hours in training, watching film, watching live games, and playing the sport of lacrosse. I have run over 500 practices and coached nearly 400 games. I spend 12 months a year researching modern coaching methods, systems and techniques. It is my obsession and my passion. I have gladly dedicated a portion of my life to this great sport. That knowledge will be passed on to my players in an effort to teach and improve. My reward is seeing players I have coached doing well at lacrosse and in life.
I believe team play and sportsmanship are paramount. I stress the respect of teammates, opponents, coaches, and officials. My credo is "honor the game". I continually stress that to my players and coaching staff. The history and culture of this great game is important to me. I teach players traditional values such as hard work, humility and the value of teamwork.
I sincerely appreciate the fact that parents and players offer their time, energy and hard earned income to make our programs work. I will work tirelessly to insure close personal attention at all levels. I will go to all lengths to guarantee playing time. I survey parents and players frequently to find areas on which to improve.
I consider it a privilege to coach. I will gladly take the time to field discussion on recruiting, the game of lacrosse or any subject related to my players.
I am open for discussion anytime at 313lax@gmail.com or 810.523.3699.
