About the GP Select Lacrosse Club
GP Select is one of the Nation’s finest high school summer travel lacrosse programs.
We offer an excellent opportunity for lacrosse players not only to receive top-notch instruction to improve their skills,
but to compete in national recruiting events against the nation’s best summer travel teams.
We currently field boy’s teams at the U15, U17, AND U19 LEVELS.
GP Select was founded in 2005 by Ken Brubaker aka “coach B”. He has dedicated immeasurable hours teaching lacrosse at all levels.
He has coached over 300 games at the Collegiate, U19, U17, and U15 level of play. He has been in integral part of youth lacrosse
in his community for over a decade. A perpetual student of the game and lacrosse enthusiast, he is also a grand master’s goalie
who plays year round at the goalie position. He is currently on the coaching staff at Western Michigan University (MCLA) (CCLA).
His motto “honor the game” is synonymous with the way he teaches the sport and runs GP SELECT. GP Select stresses teamwork,
sportsmanship and respect for teammates and opponents.
GP Select will feature an extensive game and tournament schedule with the main focus on getting our players college recruiting exposure.
We will attend multiple National Recruiting Venues to get our players looks all summer. The competition played is first rate, with
numerous games being held vs. the nation’s best select and all-star squads.
GP Select will conduct several advanced level practice sessions that will give players a unique look in to what to expect at the next level.
Our focus is to simply make each player better at lacrosse and to insure they gain knowledge of the sport that can only be learned at the
college level. Our training methods include “teach every shift” in games, with constant one on one technique being taught by some of the
regions brightest and most talented coaches and college athletes.
GP Select uses current and former NCAA and MCLA college players as coaches, providing each player one on one teaching of techniques learned
at the next level. Our past staff has included special guest coaches from the MLL and will feature instructors from DI, DII, or DIII NCAA
lacrosse teams. Our coaches are players who have learned from the best programs and play at the top level.
Bonus clinics will feature NCAA and MCLA College Head Coaches. Past clinics have been conducted by National Champion John Paul from the
University of Michigan and by Matt Holtz of U of D Mercy(DI) (NCAA) Our teams have been scouted by top level colleges such as Ohio State
University, Robert Morris University, The University of Detroit Mercy, Hobart University, Washington & Lee, and Manhattan College just to
name a few. Several former GP Select players are currently on NCAA DI, DII, and DIII lacrosse teams.
